Parent-Child Connection Classes To Be Held

A Stephens Center’s Parent-Child Connection (PCC) make-up session is to be held on Wednesday, March 6 at the Stephens Center located at 616 North Church Street in Livingston from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. Certificates will be awarded to parents attending eight sessions within this series. There is no charge for PCC sessions.

Lodge To Confer New Master Mason Degrees

The Livingston Lodge #259 will be conferring two Master Mason degrees on Thursday, Feb. 28. Eating is to begin at 5:30 p.m. with work to follow after. Fried chicken is the main course with potluck for rest.

Restaurant To Hold Customer Appreciation Day

The Huddle House restaurant located on 1660 W Main Street is holding Customer Appreciation Day for the community. To show our gratitude to the Livingston community and the customers who support Huddle House, we want to reward our most loyal guests with a day filled with family fun and good food. To celebrate, all dine-in food purchases will be 50 percent off the regular menu price from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. (drinks not included) on Thursday, Feb. 28.

L.B.J. & C Special Called Meeting To Be Held

The L.B.J. & C. Development Corporation Board of Director’s will hold a Special Called meeting Wednesday, Feb. 27 at the L.B.J.& C. Development Corporation located at 1150 Chocolate Drive in Cookeville. The meeting will begin at 6 p.m.

Pasture And Hay Fields Weed Control Meeting To Be Held

You can bet after all the mud we have had in pastures this winter made by cattle, and especially equipment moving round bales of hay to feeding areas, that beef producers will be faced with unwanted weeds emerging in these areas. UT Extension Overton County will be having a weed control meeting on Thursday, March 7 at 6 p.m. at the Joe L. Evins Community Center. Dr. Neil Rhodes, Weed Control Specialist with UT Extension will be on hand to discuss all topics on pasture and hay field weed control. The meeting is free and open to anyone interested. UT Extension offers equal opportunities in programs and employment.

L.B.J. & C Meeting To Be Held

The monthly meeting of the L.B.J. & C. Head Start Policy Council has been scheduled for Tuesday, March 5 beginning at 6 p.m. The meeting will be held at the L.B.J. & C. Development Corporation located in 1150 Chocolate Drive in Cookeville.

American Legion Dance To Be Held

The American Legion welcomes the Slick Nickel Band for an evening of and music on Saturday, March 2 from 7 p.m. until 10 p.m. at the American Legion Post in Livingston located at 121 S. Church Street. Bring a snack to share. All dances are family friendly and open to the public, membership not necessary. Concessions are available.
